There is no busy schedule to keep up with. Each experience follows your child’s comfort, energy, interests, and care needs.
While you take time to rest, travel, or attend to everyday life, your child can enjoy familiar routines, attentive care, and little moments that make their stay special.
Meet Heidi
Hello, I’m Heidi Mitchell, the registered nurse behind Echo Glade. I’ve been a nurse since 2006, with experience in intensive care, oncology and infusion nursing, outpatient surgery, and pediatric home care. Since 2013, I’ve cared for medically fragile infants and children at home.
Trusting someone with your child means trusting them with more than medications and equipment. It means knowing their cues, following familiar routines, and noticing the small changes. That begins with listening to you.
What makes your child smile? How do they show discomfort? Which story, song, or familiar object helps them settle? These details help me care for your child as a whole person.
My goal is thoughtful nursing care with the warmth of a special camp stay. Your child does not need to fit a traditional camp experience. The experience should fit your child.
I love spending time in nature, gardening, taking walks, and sitting on my deck enjoying the outdoors. I also enjoy crocheting and a variety of arts and crafts. That love of creativity is part of what I hope to share at Echo Glade, through little experiences shaped around each child.
